Alltech Canada Adds to Team
Alltech Canada was please to have Kyle Klempke join the team in January. Kyle is thrilled to be returning to his home province of Manitoba, where he was born and raised in Stonewall. He has been working in Alberta for the past five years for a swine genetics company.
Kyle has been involved in the swine industry since receiving his Diploma in Agriculture from the University of Manitoba and started working in swine production units out high school prior to going to University for three years.
Kyle has assumed the territory sales manager position in Manitoba. He looks forward to meeting current and future customers. •

Kate Chaney of ConventionALL Management is pleased to welcome the newest member to her team, Teresa Allan.
Teresa Allan has very recently joined the ConventionALL Management team as the new Junior Planner and Administrative Assistant. Born and raised in Alberta, she is glad to be back in her home province after spending her last few years in British Columbia earning her Bachelor's Degree in Tourism Management. She is looking forward to getting to know the industry and attending this year's Alberta Pork Congress Trade show for the first time!
Lisa Doyle will not be in attendance at this years Alberta Pork Congress and she has a very good reason. Jarvis Isaiah Doyle was born November 6th weighing in at 7 lbs 9 oz. Congratulations Lisa ! •
Genesus Expands Team
Genesus is pleased to announce Glen Kuhn has joined Genesus .
Glen was responsible for day to day operations of the breeding, and farrowing departments of a 2800 Sow Nucleus. He also acted as a liaison between Senior Management, the Technical and Development Manager and Department Heads in implementing and supporting the PIC Genetic Improvement Program. He also oversee all aspects of production as well as staff recruitment, training and rotation.
Glen was responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of a 7,000 head Genetic Nucleus nursery as the production of a 4,000 head boar testing facility which included management of 84 FIRE (Feed Intake Recording Equipment) feeders manufactured by Osborne Industries. Duties included gilt testing and selection for Genetic Nucleus replacement as domestic and export selection and sales.
Glen, has relocated to Portage La Prairie, MB. He is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan. Glen also worked several months in Denmark in Swine Production with the International Agriculture Exchange Association.
Glen will report to Lambert Houwen and be based out of the Oakville office. Glen will be involved in Nucleus, Daughter Nucleus, and technical support. •

Key appointment enhances TOPIGS Canada Sales & Service team. TOPIGS Canada announced recently that Fred Coykendall has joined its staff as Business Development Representative. Fred is currently based in central Alberta. In his new role, Fred will develop sales and provide customer support in Alberta and Montana.
Fred is well known to the Alberta swine industry and brings with him years of experience. Having been a sales representative for a large feed company and a swine genetics company, Fred also has considerable experience in the meat processing industry. •
Big Dutchman Co-founder Passes Away at Age 100
Jack DeWitt, who founded Big Dutchman in 1938 with his brother, Dick DeWitt, passed away at his home in Zeeland, MI on January 6th, 2012.
